Tai Chi

After the tram, the rest of that day was kind of a blur. I woke up early in the morning, planning to join a sunrise Tai Chi class I'd read about in a tourist guide. My roommate, Ben from New Zealand, heard me get up so early and wanted to join me.

We found the class and its effervescent leaders, who led us through an hour of Tai Chi forms. It was nice to be a part of this art, even if it was conducted in English primarily for tourists. Folks in Hong Kong can be seen performing Tai Chi's soothing motions about anywhere you go. Particularly in the mornings and on their lunch breaks, they'll bring their flowing peace to city parks and boardwalks along the harbor.
