ABOUT THE MEAD: Fermented honey, water, and yeast is arguably the oldest hooch known to humanity. Add a little green magic and it becomes my latest brew: frobscottle. Don’t know frobscottle? It’s a real whizzpopper, only from the mind of Roald Dahl. Here’s a little video tease of what it is (and does):
My version, like most all my homebrewed meads, is fermented with champagne yeast for more than a year (this batch dates to 12/31/16) to make it very dry and bubbly, not too sweet. I serve it cold and fizzy enough to delight any big friendly giant you might meet.
PLEASE DROP IN, CHECK OUT THE DIGS, SIP, SNACK, AND SAY HELLO. I’D LOVE TO SEE YOU.
